Barkingside Dental Care Redbridge Reviews
I have been NHS patient here for about 3 years but have not attended the clinic for about 2 years. I visited on Friday 30th Jan and after an hour wait and another patient clearly with an appointment after mine was pushed in before me left feeling very disappointed. When I got home I telephoned and spoke to the receptionist who was polite and apologetic but expressed that I wanted the dentist to know what had happened.I returned to the clinic Fri 6th Feb( against my better judgement !!) and sat next to a girl who's appointment was before mine and was waiting for her treatment which was already an hour late, she was stressed as she was going to be late for work. I was called into the dentist in front of this girl and I explained that she was before me so the girl went in but was out in 10 minutes.I asked what had happened and she said she told the dentist that because of the delay she had to be out of there by 1.00pm and the dentist reply was " if you're not happy you can find another dentist " so the poor girl had to leave with her tooth ache and having been kept waiting for an hour.
Because I had complained the week before the dentist was keen not to keep me waiting so they tried to push me in before her just like they pushed another patient infront me last week. I then was called into the dentist , I just wanted some advice, after my consultation the dentist advised me that she had run out of her NHS funding and was it ok to charge me privately for her visit?
The whole thing was very unprofessional and very disappointing.
The staff were polite but I shall be looking for a new dentist.
