Same thing happened to me. Thought he was a mate as I'd known him to say 'hello' to for many years, gave him £200 as a deposit for a job we needed doing and nothing. At first he did return calls and gave me all types of excuses for the work not getting done this went on for a couple of weeks then he started ignoring the calls completely and his voicemail was unable to take any more messages as it was full. I went to the store a few times but it was either shut or the owner, conveniently, wasn't there. Clearly I've been had by someone I considered as a mate which makes me double angry. Have reported this to the Police and Trading Standards. If you've been ripped off by this firm I advise you do the same.
